Baptism, the foundational sacrament of Church Universal and Triumphant, is a sacred initiation on the spiritual journey and a profound purification of the soul. Through baptism, we commit ourselves to aligning with the divine will of God—the sacred blueprint cherished in His heart for every soul. The soul’s blueprint is the divine pattern bestowed by God upon each individual—a sacred plan that, from the very beginning, the soul agreed with God to fulfill. Being “baptized into Christ” (Galatians 3:27) marks a profound step toward a deeper union with the Christ consciousness and a greater alignment with the will of God. Baptism seals soul and the spiritual centers, or chakras, enabling a fuller integration with God’s will. In truth, there are not two separate wills—human will and divine will—but rather one harmonious will rooted in truth and freedom. We follow the example of Jesus, who wholly dedicated himself to the will of God and chose baptism as the starting point of his sacred ministry: “Jesus went through this ritual so that you could understand that this is not a mental exercise. Baptism is a symbolic and actual ritual of the cleansing of your being from karma, sin and every out-of- alignment state. You, working with the Holy Spirit, can receive a tremendous blessing through baptism,” explains Elizabeth Clare Prophet.

All that I AM is all that God has thought for you. You are all the beloved son. Jesus

Receiving the Blessings of Baptism

In baptism, your soul is purified, strengthened, and shielded by a radiant shower of divine light. In this sacred moment, an angel or ascended master steps forward to guide and support you. You have the opportunity to request an angel or ascended master of your own gender as your spiritual sponsor, even adopting their name as your spiritual middle name.

What Happens in Baptism?

During baptism, you stand before the altar, or you bring your child there, typically in the presence of a congregation. The minister gently places rose petals upon your crown chakra and sprinkles water, each with profound symbolism. The rose petals embody the sweetness of your soul, reflecting the blossoming of light and love within your heart and chakras. The water signifies God’s cleansing forgiveness. With a heartfelt invocation, the minister calls forth the baptismal blessing specifically for you.

The gentlest of touch is all that is required. . . .The name pronounced, given unto the angels, . . . will show that I have touched you this day and dedicated you to the will of God.

May I Be Baptized?

Baptism is available to individuals of all ages. The essential requirement is that you—along with your soul and Higher Self—genuinely desire to rediscover, reaffirm, and fulfill God’s will for your life. When a child is baptized, it is the parents who commit to guiding and supporting the child in this sacred journey.
