Holy Communion, instituted by Jesus at the Last Supper, is a sacred sacrament that allows us to partake in the essence of Christ’s Spirit and Word. Rooted in ancient traditions, this sacrament is a divine invitation to align with the Christ consciousness and the cosmic balance of Spirit (Alpha) and Matter (Omega).
The blessing of bread and wine has its origins in ancient Jewish traditions, commemorating the Sabbath and holy days. This ritual can be traced back to Melchizedek, who “brought forth bread and wine” to bless Abraham. At the Last Supper, Jesus transformed this sacred act by declaring:
“Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me… This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.”
Through this act, Jesus introduced a sacred mystery that would endure for millennia, offering his disciples a way to partake of his being and deepen their spiritual connection to God.
Holy Communion is far more than a ritual—it is a transfer of divine energy and Christ consciousness. Jesus embodied the balance of cosmic forces within himself, harmonizing masculine and feminine energies. At the Last Supper, he began a sacred tradition that allows us to receive this balance portion by portion, blessing by blessing, as we grow spiritually.
Through Communion, we are invited to integrate the light of Christ into our beings, aligning with his attainment and love. This sacred energy, too powerful to absorb all at once, is given to us incrementally, enabling us to grow in wisdom, grace, and spiritual strength.
Partaking in Holy Communion in the Church Universal and Triumphant® is also a connection with the ascended masters. Each time we accept the bread and wine, we imbibe the flame of our Christhood, receiving the light of the Universal Christ and committing to embody his Spirit in our words and works.

The Mystic’s Mantra of Communion
The act of Communion calls us to internalize the words of Christ: “I AM Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending.” With each participation, we align with the eternal presence of God and receive the light of Christ within our hearts.
