By the grace of God this was the point of no return in my life – the point where my life took a 180^o turn, onward and upward.

The first day I walked into the Rio Study Group I became a Keeper of the Flame. When I saw beloved El Morya and the chart of the I AM Presence I knew I was Home! What a joy! What a relief! My soul simply soared high as it recognized its origin, and the rest is history.

Currently, I serve our community as part of the Ministry Team, as a forever ministering servant, and as a Lay Sister, which is a step on the Path of Ministry to become an ordained minister. I also serve on the Teaching Center’s board as its secretary, and I double up as I also serve Region IV as its secretary. I have also served a 6 year term as an Elder of our Church, and currently I serve as an alternate Elder. 

I work for the Masters full-time and as a contract interpreter part-time. 😉 My work is mostly with the US Dept. of State, federal and district courts, and various legal and government agencies.

As to my degrees, I have two undergraduate, psychology, legal studies and English writing, a Masters in Global Strategic Communications with a certificate in Conflict Resolution, a certificate as Conference Interpreter, and I am in the process of getting a HeartMath certification in Building Personal Resilience.

My mission is my passion, and that is to serve God and those He sends my way. To serve the Christ in each one I come across, the brothers and sisters in our beautiful community and everywhere God sends me to offer a cup of cold water to a thirsting soul.

Fun Facts about our Lay Sister Maria Carolina

Favorite Character in the Bible: Jesus, he is definitely my hero. He exemplifies and embodies kindness, meekness, humility, but nonetheless, he is a stalwart example of faith, determination, and obedience.

Hobbies & Interests: Taking pictures of flamboyant and Bougainville tress. I would love to publish a book with all of these pictures, as well as other flowers in my collection of photos. Bird watching and star gazing are two other of my favorite hobbies. The study of the mind and astrology not only interest me they fascinate me especially when studied in the context of the Teachings of the Ascended Masters, i.e., the Cosmic Clock.

Hometown: I was born in Brazil and came to the US, New York, when I was 11 years old. I live in Florida and consider my hometown to be the Great Central Sun, Venus and Sirius. 

Education: My undergraduate major and minor was psychology, and a second undergraduate in legal studies and English writing. I have a Masters in Global Strategic Communications with a certificate in Conflict Resolution. I hold a certificate in Conference Interpreting, and am a contract Portuguese interpreter for the US Dept. of State, federal and district courts throughout the US and American territories. Currently, I am in the process of becoming a certified HeartMath coach in Building Personal Resilience. Last but not least, I have completed two tracks – the Leadership and Ministerial tracks of the School of Theology of Summit University and was  commissioned as a Lay Sister of Church Universal and Triumphant. 

Favorite Bible Verse: Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” If we conform to this world, we experience no growth, no coming revolution in higher consciousness, and no soul evolution. As we allow ourselves to be “…transformed by the renewing of our mind….,” we are getting rid of the old habits and welcoming divine newness to body, soul and mind as we move forward letting go and letting God work His works in our lives thereby becoming that “….good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God,” as in I AM God’s Will, until we attain our Victory in the Light.

Favorite Ascended Master: El Morya, Kuan Yin, Jesus, Nada and Mother Mary. These are the masters who have picked me up time and again, and who have carried me to their hearts, teaching me that my burden is Light. Cyclopea and Hercules are my dearest Elohim.

Favorite Color: Blue and green. These are strong and vibrant colors representing faith, determination and goodwill, as well as discernment, healing, and precipitation.

Spiritual Milestone: In my humble opinion, spiritual milestone is forged each step of the way, daily, hourly, every second we make a right decision. And as we walk the Path, we trek higher and higher until we reach our highest spiritual milestone – our ascension in the Light.

Favorite Sacred Ritual: They are all so profound, I love all of them. Each one has its own particular flame, they all emanate such Love capable of encircling the world around. It’s one of the treasures that El Morya has gifted us with. Thank you beloved Guru.

Languages: My native language is Brazilian Portuguese, but I am bi-lingual as I was brought up in the US. I also speak Spanish, and understand some French and Italian.

Favorite gifts: Discernment of the spirits is a most important gift of the Holy Spirit for us on the Path, as we must discern between Light and darkness in order to make the right choice, like Saint Germain made two million right choices.
